

Relationship Manager
O'Brien Training Ltd. is a leader in Heavy Equipment Operator Training across Western Canada training students in all industries including forestry, oil and gas, and construction since 2004. O’Brien Training is based in Prince George, BC, with remote operations throughout the province of British Columbia. O’Brien Training has grown the business year over year and is once again expanding. We’re hiring a full-time Relationship Manager, to join our team in Prince George. O’Brien Training Ltd has been delivering certified training programs for over 20 years to individuals looking to obtain the skills and safety certification to become Heavy Equipment Operators. Our programs are registered with the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education and are delivered by various methods which are recognized by WorkSafe BC, and Employers across the Province. By building trusted relationships and providing strategic guidance, you’ll play a key role in focusing on the relationships that combine your sales, heavy equipment and business development and marketing expertise. This role involves working with various government entities, students, and stakeholders, and building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous organizations, government entities, and community leaders to promote sales and business growth while upholding ethical and culturally sensitive practices. You will work with students, listen to understand and become a valuable piece of our company culture. Some key accountabilities will be: •Maintaining and Engaging business relationships, selling/aligning our school programs to market •Leading presentations, and being present in job fairs/education and trade fairs, conferences and events •Coordinate program with instructors and students About You: To qualify, you'll have proven, successful sales experience and a knowledge of Heavy Equipment. You understand the importance of safety, training, and operator qualifications to do jobs that are part of major projects, public works, logging and road building or any type of civil construction/forestry that may be relative. •You know how to talk—confident communication and public speaking come naturally to you •You are able to travel, as this position is mostly based outside of office. •You’re passionate about making a difference in lives. •A strong industry understanding of heavy equipment, uses, needs and can speak with educational advisors on topics related to heavy equipment, and operators. •Have industry insight and knowledge on jobs for heavy equipment operators •You have a solutions-focused sales strategy that meets clients’ needs •You’re driven to achieve your goals but equally care about helping others succeed •Your optimism and energy positively impact the team and create a fun, productive environment •You take ownership of your work and enjoy both the process and the results As a relationship-builder, you will join us with the confidence and ability to build up a rapport with just about anyone. Your job will be focused on selling heavy equipment operator training programs which involves lead management, outreach to potential students, and enrollment efforts within the context of heavy equipment operator programs. Responsibilities: •Sales and Programs Identifying and give guidance to students who have expressed interest in the heavy equipment operator program. •Outreach and Communication: Reaching out to potential students and funders, or educational coordinators via phone calls, emails, and other channels to promote the program and answer questions. •Enrollment Support: Assisting students with the enrollment process, including application completion and financial aid information. •Program Promotion: Representing the heavy equipment operator program to potential students and stakeholders, highlighting its benefits and career opportunities. Skills and Qualifications: •Sales Experience: Prior experience in sales, especially in an educational or training environment, is highly valuable. •Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with potential students and building relationships. •Lead Management: Experience in managing and nurturing leads to drive enrollment. •Knowledge of the Heavy Equipment Industry: Familiarity with the industry, the demand for skilled operators, and the job opportunities available can be an asset.
